Lowcountry Hunt Week

Gallop along the beach and ride the beautiful historic plantations with us for our 4th year down south with Galloping Guru and the Lowcountry Hunt. Enjoy great fellowship, fabulous low country cuisine and festive social events in stunning locations.

Our trip kicks off with a warm welcome and introduction to your horse and their stabling location. Day 2 is a highlight of the trip with a 2 hour morning beach ride along miles of white sand beaches. The day finishes with an evening Oyster Roast on the banks of the Ashepoo River where you will meet the many other guests from across the country while listening to music under a ceiling of moon and stars. Hunting begins on days 3, 4 and 5 at stunning territories with 3 fields for riders and lasting around 1.5 to 2 hours. Each hunt boasts a beautiful stirrup cup with lite bites and socializing before you mount and set off. After each ride you will enjoy an abundant catered breakfast of delicious southern cuisine and adult beverages!

Aside from the hunts, evening social events take place almost everyday and the silent auction is full of equestrian treasures for you to take home! Photographers will be on site to capture all of these beautiful moments. Enjoy this incredible experience with 150+ other riders from across the country.

10 AM - Formal Hunt, hunt breakfast to follow
7-10 PM - Cocktail party and silent auction

THE HORSES
There are a variety of breeds with different personalities, from spirited thoroughbreds to quieter draft breeds.

RIDER LEVEL
Level 3 minimum. Riders must have hunt experience and be pre approved for this booking. Horses will be of varying levels and capabilities. If you do not have hunt experience please reach out so we can get you started!

SETTING
Lowcountry is known for its beautiful historic plantations with avenues of live oaks draped in Spanish moss and abundant wildlife including alligators, bald eagles and water fowl. You will hunt beside freshwater marshes, tidal creeks and hardwood forests and ride along some stunning mossy plantation trails. You will gallop along miles of white sand beach with old fallen trees that make perfect jumps. Out of the saddle you will enjoy the best of southern hospitality at social events set in these beautiful backdrops.
