Every year, foxhunters from all over the US (and even some from Canada) travel to Aiken for this annual Hunt Week. The territories span thousands of acres of beautiful countryside. There is ample room and a place for every horse and rider in one of the three fields: First, Second and Hill Toppers. Not only will you enjoy hunting some of the best land in the Southeast, you're sure to make many new friends along the way!

Wednesday 
6-8pm Welcoming Party with cocktails and dinner

Thursday 
10AM Ratcatcher Hunt with tailgate to follow
4-6PM Shopping, wine and cheese at Aiken Saddlery 

Friday 
10 AM Formal Hunt with tailgate to follow
Evening HUNT BALL, dinner and dancing– THE RESERVE CLUB (additional cost $175)

Saturday 
12PM Brunch to benefit Hitchcock Woods

6-9PM Pig roast

Sunday 
9 AM Hunt- Formal Hunt
2-5PM Brunch & Puppy Auction

Monday 
10AM Bloodies & Beagling with the Sugar Sand Beagles

*Note that Aiken Hunt week goes through Tuesday however we will only have horses available through Sunday. There are still social events you can attend through 2/13, click here for the full schedule of events. 

THE HORSES
There are a variety of breeds with different personalities, from spirited thoroughbreds to quieter draft breeds.

RIDER LEVEL
Level 3 minimum. Riders must have hunt experience and be pre approved for this booking. Horses will be of varying levels and capabilities. If you do not have hunt experience please reach out so we can get you started!

SETTING
Whiskey Road Foxhounds Hunt was established in 1976. Their pack was registered with the Masters of Foxhounds Association of America in 1977 and WRFH was officially recognized by the MFHA in January of 1979. They hunt large tracts of land in, and around Aiken County. 

INCLUDED

• 3 days of hunting with potential to add Saturday hunt with another club

NOT INCLUDED

• $850 event entry fee, which you can pay directly to the hunt 
• Saturday hunt cap fee if you add on the option, this will be paid directly to Belle Meade
• Lodging- there are a variety of hotels and Airbnb's available in the historic downtown Aiken, check out The Wilcox Hotel
• Rental car- we suggest riders share
• Flights
• Meals outside of scheduled events
• All participants are required to have a valid SC hunting license. Get a South Carolina Hunting License HERE, or pick one up at one of Aiken's several Walmart locations.

ATTIRE

• Informal hunt attire- tweed jacket, shirt in muted pastel tones, tan/ rust breeches, patterned stock tie
• Formal hunt attire- black jacket, white shirt, tan breeches, white stock tie
• Country attire
• Evening attire
