Wethersfield XC Hack & Wine Tasting
Spend your Friday afternoon and evening upstate for one of a kind, unique experience. The afternoon begins at Wethersfield Estate and Garden where we will spend 1.5 hours hacking through their stunning course of XC jumps and varied terrain. Expect to have some nice schooling sessions in addition to group hacking. Wethersfield has a wide range of XC obstacles at various heights and difficulties, your host will guide you along the way.
After this exciting ride we will head just 15 minutes up the road to the stunning Millbrook Winery, where we will have the wine tasting. Following the wine tasting is a fun and lively farmers market with food trucks and lots of goodies to shop and see!

SCHEDULE
1:30PM Riders arrive and help unload horses, get mounted
2:00PM Riders set off with host for a 1.5 hour xc hack
3:30PM Return to trailer, dismount and load horses
4:00PM Meet at Millbrook Winery for the wine tasting
5:00PM Food trucks and farmers market!

HORSES
The horses are trailered from our training facility in Pawling. There are a variety of breeds with different personalities, trained for open space riding, foxhunting, hunter paces and used in our lessons. From spirited thoroughbreds to quieter draft breeds.
SETTING
Nestled in 1,000 acres of beautiful rolling hills in Dutchess County, NY, Wethersfield is the living expression of everything that its founder, Chauncey Devereux Stillman (1907–1989), cherished and believed in. With a passion for nature, beauty, and proper stewardship of the land, Mr. Stillman was an accomplished equestrian, an avid conservationist, and a lover of the arts, faith, and the intellectual life. The grounds have a variety of XC obstacles including a nice water complex!
