
Formal Foxhunting
Formal Foxhunting runs through December for some hunts and March for others. Meets are generally between 8 and 9am and last anywhere from 2 to 5 hours. Hunting is an all weather sport and as long as footing is not frozen the meet will generally take place.
Riders can enjoy an advanced ride with jumping in First Field or a more relaxed non jumping ride in Second and Third Fields.
Currently Galloping Guru horses are available for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday hunts with various clubs.
Experience: Strong, brave riders who have paced before and have cross country experience. If it's your first time hunting please contact us in advance.
Formal Uniform: Tan breeches, white shirt, white stock tie, black wool coat (vented with 3 buttons), tall black boots, black helmet (velvet is traditional but not required), black gloves, canary or tattersall vest is optional.

Capping: Please note that as a non member you can cap in with each individual hunt no more than 3 times in the season. The cost listed is for your horse hire, you will need to bring cash or check to pay your cap fee directly, we will let you know the amount in advance.
