Vixen Meet
Join us for a weekend designed especially for all the lady foxhunters! Ride alongside the WHC's 2 incredible field masters on the gorgeous waterfront of the eastern shore of Maryland. There will be 4 fields, giving many options for riders to join.
The full schedule of events includes a Wednesday Welcome Dinner with open beer/ wine bar, appetizers and dessert. Thursday is the mounted Vixen Hunt experience with stirrup cup, oyster bar & full breakfast and gifting for all riders. Friday is the Mt. Harmon Yuletide ride and Historic tour with lunch! Gallop the professional point to point course of historic Mt. Harmon Manor; rolling water front trails, open fields, jumping allowed, with 6+ miles of manicured trails.

THE HORSES
There are a variety of breeds with different personalities, trained for open space riding, foxhunting, hunter paces and used in our lessons. From spirited thoroughbreds to quieter draft breeds.
SETTING
Foxhunting and equestrian sports are alive and well across the North East. This stunningly beautiful county remains open to the very animals that helped build it. Foxhunting is a union of humans and creatures in the beauty of nature’s setting. Man is an observer mounted on a horse, the vehicle that allows him to follow and survey the hounds as they hunt the fox.

Level 3, 4 and 5. Click here for level descriptions. No previous hunt experience required.
ATTIRE
Formal Hunt: Black hunt coat, white stock tie, canary or tattersall vest, tan breeches, black dress boots and black hunt cap.
