The Beach Hack

Back for a limited time! Ride with us on the beach just over an hour from Manhattan! This is an experience only offered for 1 month in spring and fall while the beach allows horses and tides are low enough. We ride polo horses that are quiet and familiar with the beach but do have on their polo tack. Expect to ride with the reins in your left hand and neck rein like the polo players do!

We can arrange weekday rides if you have your own group and want to exclusively book a day!

Level 3+  Enjoy a walk, trot and canter along the low tide. Step into The Long Island Sound and let your horse enjoy the benefits of the fresh salt water while you yourself might get a little splash! We will have a nice stretch of around 3 miles to enjoy this rare opportunity to ride on the beach.

All beach rides will last 1-1.5 hours, horses arrive across the street and after mounting you will start your journey along the sand.

SCHEDULE

*Ride times are dependent on the tide levels and are marked on the date you book for. See drop down menu below.

Arrival-  30 minutes before scheduled time.

INCLUDED

  • A tacked horse to ride
  • A host to lead the ride

HORSES
The horses used for this ride used for polo and also enjoy the beach! A mix of thoroughbreds trained in polo and regularly exercised on the beach and local trails.
