60 Minute Group Lessons

Finness your riding skills weekly just 25 miles from central Manhattan in Greenvale Long Island. These lessons are ideal for riders wanting to work on their arena flat and jump skills and provide an option for dedicated riders to join schooling shows and more! 

Level 3 Flat classes are for Level 3a and 3b riders who are proficient in walk/ trot/ canter fundamentals and want to focus on skills like flexion, collection, impulsion and all that goes into making a well rounded horse. 

Level 3 Jump classes are for Level 3 riders who have first attended a Level 3 Flat class at this location and are approved to begin the jump classes. Focus on the basics of jumping; balance, straightness, impulsion, striding, turning, preparing for a course of jumps and eventually showing if you are dedicated to stick to these classes regularly!

SCHEDULE
-Riders arrive 15 minutes ahead of scheduled time to store belongings and prepare for lesson, horses will be groomed and tacked by the stable groom
-60 minute class
-After your class you have the opportunity to chat with your instructor to share your goals, discuss your current level and set a plan moving forward

THE HORSES
There are mostly Warmbloods with extensive teaching and showing experience. Many have trained to higher levels and can teach flying changes, leg yields, nice collection and extension of gaits and provide riders the opportunity to work on some of the more advanced movements.

SETTING
Just 25 miles from Midtown Manhattan, the facility has a couple of stables and trainers operating out of the location who focus on University Teams, hunter jumpers and show jumping. We are partnered with Skybrook and Elizabeth von Bargen who has a background in hunters, jumpers and equitation. The facility has a large indoor arena with a viewing room and cafe for refreshments. There are 2 outdoor arenas that can be used on the warmer days and a small trail system for an occasional hack if weather permits.

INCLUDED
A fully groomed and tacked horse paired to your ability, an instructor dedicated to our program, 60 minutes of riding time and a professional facility.

ATTIRE
Casual riding attire, riders need to have their own helmets, boots and proper riding attire.
