Western Riding Open House
Ever wanted to try barrel racing or cow sorting? Join MRC for a day full of western fun! Demonstrations from the professionals will cover a variety of disciplines. Guests will enjoy lunch and beverages alongside the action!
Book the Evaluation to try it yourself in a 20 minute demo. Learn the skills on horses who are specifically trained in western disciplines and can show you the ropes! Riders who are more experienced, can try more challenging activities at the trot and canter if they're up for it. Yeehaw!
Guests will have the opportunity to sign up for the 5 week Barrel Racing Clinic starting in May with a fun competition at the end of the series for riders win some cash!

No requirements for guests who would like to spectate!
For riders: Level 2 and above. Click here for level descriptions.
The movements of the horse required for this type of riding will be best suited for riders who feel secure in a western saddle without pulling on the reins for balance. The riders who is more experienced and capable, the trainer will add more challenging activities.
Western casual. Jeans, a small heeled boot or riding boot. Helmets are available on-site. Pack your cowboy hat and chaps if you have them!
