Autumn Training

Autumn Training is informal season hunting. At the Huntsman's discretion, the hounds' skills and teamwork are honed in preparation for Formal hunting season which starts in October. Riders can enjoy a quicker pace and longer runs. 

Experience: Strong, brave riders who have paced before and have cross country experience. If it's your first time hunting please contact us in advance.

Informal Uniform: During the Informal Season, all riders including staff, wear 'ratcatcher.' That is, a tweed coat in muted colors like beige, brown or green. Beige or rust breeches, brown or black field boots. Gentlemen wear a tie with a light colored shirt other than white, again in muted tones. Ladies may wear a colored stock tie, necktie or choker.

Capping: Please note that as a non member you can cap in with a hunt no more than 3 times in the season. If you book this ride, it will count towards 1 of your 3 caps with the Windy Hollow Hunt.
