Summer Camp

Week 2, Propel Your Riding

Are you ready to take your riding to the next level? This week is great for Level 2 Riders looking to get to Level 3, which is the minimum requirement for most MRC rides and where most riders aim to be. This camp will focus on helping riders achieve confidence and skill in and out of the saddle. If you attended week 1 of camp this is the perfect continuation for your training. If you are confident you have mastered the fundamentals and are ready to push yourself to the next level this is the week to do it!

Lessons will focus on endurance and confidence in all 3 gaits, introducing more advanced techniques into your riding toolbox like dressage fundamentals. Start preparing for jumping with cavaletties, ground poles and pattern exercises. Gain confidence riding outside the ring and on the trails and in open fields. Learn some of the more advanced horsemanship skills that you will require when participating in an off site event.

SCHEDULE
Thursday July 18 - Sunday July 21
Daily: 10am - 4pm (6 hours)
Each day will include horsemanship, riding instruction, education on a variety of topics and lunch. We are working on adding in a visit from the farrier, vet or dentist for riders to see these exciting horse health care professionals at work.
